standard RST covers jet ski’s aswell as boats although I don’t think anyone hires jet ski’s (don’t think allowed to).

hi i was wondering how old u have to be to get your skippers ticket I’ve been driving my dads 55hp boat and my uncles jet ski, i’m only thirteen but i want to get my full license so then i can go out with my dad on the boat and my uncles jet ski.?

Hi Rob,

14 is the minimum age to do the RST, so if your dinghy is over 6hp this is what you will need.

no problem, 10am start at Hillman Hall and end around 2pm at safety Bay ramp or Palm Beach depending on the wind direction .

Please read RST workbook and bring drivers license on the day. Cost is $198 payable by cash or cheque on the day.

assume you are after weekday course in Rockingham, next one available is Wednesday week 9th October then every Wednesday after that fine at this stage (unfortunately next Wednesday 2nd is fully booked).

Hi Dale,

to be honest either course is fine simply because the practical is the same on either course. The RST is really about providing you with the skills necessary to get out their on your own, rack up the hours and learn by experience.

The advantage with the quick course is that you get to digest the theory information slowly at your own pace at home. The full course does have more theory information simply because we have you for longer.

Hi Steve,

pretty straight forward, read RST workbook which you can download off our homepage and then come along to the course.

We then do a quick refresher followed by a multiple choice test. We then get on our boat for the practical where we train you from the ground up (no previous experience necessary).

Total cost is $198 payable once you get your ticket.

we have various courses and days but a weekday RST quick course through the waskipper.com website is usually $198 but we have a Winter special on saving 15% so price is $170. Yes we have space on the 22nd in Rockingham. If suits please let me know.
