Mandurah courses are on Wednesdays and most Sundays.

cost is $198 all inclusive, training and asessment in our room and on our boat.

usually the day before is fine for this course but cannot guarantee it as depends how many book obviously, usually not a problem though.

Do I need anything to attend the quick skippers ticket, I have a “profiency in life ratf opperations ticket”? If not, could I book into the Sunday 18th of March course.

Do you provide a boat for the purposes of training? I have a 3.8 meter tiller steer boat but I’m assuming a slightly larger one with steering might be easier to learn on?
My experience has been little and at 67 I guess I’ll need to cover the practical thoroughly. I’m at Mandurah – do you have group sessions?

Hi Paul,

yes we provide a 5.3m boat with central steering and you are correct it is easier than tiller.

Every wednesday we have a Mandurah course from 7am to around 12 midday. This week will be cancelled though due to the extreme weather we are expecting.

Just wondering how much the course is and when your next available date is. Will I be able to do the quick course having not much experience with boats.

we are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday or Sundays for Rockingham, take your pick.

Cost is $198 all inclusive, payable once you have successfully passed your course.

Hi Justin,

no problem for the 22nd for 4 people in Mandurah am assuming. Cost would be a $40 discount per ticket as you have 4 people. This brings cost down to $158 each which includes quality training and the free use of our training vessel and is guaranteed so if for whatever reason you do not pass that person does not pay anything (unlikely if you have read RST workbook though).

If you would like to go ahead please book through 1300 754 772 as not always on computer (sorry for the delay have been up North for Easter).

14 is the minimum age for the RST and it applies to any recreational vessel over 6hp.

Every Wednesday morning we have a Mandurah weekday course, starts at 8am and ends by midday. Cost is $180 which is an $18 discount due to our 10th year operating.

Hey Pete was wondering if me and my mate could sit the skippers course together we are both new to boating and the rules and regulations we would both prefer a Wednesday if possible and could you give us the prices on the 2 different courses cheers

Wednesday in Mandurah is easily done and cost would be $180 each which includes everything you need for your ticket including the boat.

Hi just wondering is the quick course easy enough to pass if you find it abit hard with writin stuff but good at practical i use to have my own boat before you had to have a rst i just find it hard sometimes understanding when it comes to pen to paper cheers

Yes Brad, the theory is a bit of a hard slog as not setup for practical people. Just read the theory section pages 10-88 and do the self test questions. The whold theory test is multiple choice so they give you the answer you just have to cross the one you think is correct.

Yes all done on the same day, takes approx. half a day after you have read theory section of workbook prior to the day.

Hi. Just enquiring l. Hubby did his TL3 when he was a youngster with Army Cadets. This has since expired. He is wonderi gbhiw he can go obtaining his ticket again. Whether he would have to resit or do a refresher. Can you please EMAIL me back with how he can go about this.

I want to learn to sail a small yacht. Trailer sailer size with outboard motor. Would your course give me the skills I would need (how to manouvre under sail etc) ? Regards

Hi Paul,

Sorry this is a powerboat course for people that need to be legal driving any recreational vessel with an engine over 6hp, similar to a licence but they prefer not to call it this as it does not expire. Yachting courses in Mandurah try calling the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club.

Hi Ian,

Every Wednesday there is a weekday course in Mandurah in the morning starting at 8 and ending around lunchtime. Other days are available by demand.

You guys will need to preread RST workbooks before course pages 10-88 and bring drivers licences on the day. Cost is $188 all inclusive for the day which includes a $10 discount per person as you have more than 1.
